Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told media today that resting starters "not in our DNA."
Play on.
That’s the approach the Indianapolis Colts will take in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium, according to coach Chuck Pagano.
"It’s not in our DNA,’’ not to approach the game with full intensity Pagano said today. "You want to win. You want to win at home. You want to go into the playoffs with momentum.
"We want to keep the momentum going.’’
Two players listed as OUT for Sunday (who likely would have been OUT if this were Week 17 or Week 7) are running back Delone Carter and center Samson Satele. Other players on the injury list will be evaluated throughout the week.
This is really great news coming from the Colts. I personally did not want to sit through another situation where starters are so obviously pulled because coaches and GMs are worried about injury. Pagano's "It’s not in our DNA,’’ is exactly what I wanted to hear.
The meme all season has been "no quit." Keep it consistent, and kick the snot out of the damn Texans.
And I don't ever want to see this kind of sh*t ever again:
