Will Bruce Arians remain a Colt?
Since October 1st, Bruce Arians has led the Colts 6-2, upholding his mostly offensive coordinator duties, and taking the coaching reins as well.
Bruce Arians has done one heck of a job in my opinion. He is upbeat, always knows the next goal, and is keeping the team focused on what is important. It's obviously been an emotional ride for him and the Colts this year and he has a deep fire inside of him to keep the playoff dreams alive for Coach Pagano, whose fans have fallen in love with since day 1.
I ask the question "Will Bruce Arians remain a Colt?" because there has been small talk lately for next years head coaching jobs and some are starting to wonder if he will take a head coaching job elsewhere after this season. I know it's a bit early to spectate next year already but honestly I'd hate to see the guy leave. Some may even debate his play-calling but either he is calling the wrong plays and Luck and co. is that good or he is calling the right plays (or both).
Either way Bruce Arians is a leader, and other teams are starting to notice. Don't get me wrong, I vote Chuck Pagano as coach of the year. He laid the foundation, and BA is simply upholding it. Pagano was the real difference maker in the beginning, and still is today by texting players, going to meetings, showing up at games, and still reviewing game tape in his home. He could have quit and nobody would have second guessed and here he is about to coach the Colts in an improbable playoff game in January. Bruce Arians has a huge respect for Pagano and is doing is best to keep his philosophy in every corner of Lucas Oil Stadium.
Bruce Arians is a solid guy. I hope he stays here in Indy and retires fully in Indy as a Colt. I'd hate to see him leave us and in the Not-For-Long industry, it is a possibility. What does anyone else think?
