analysis of RG3 as a pick - BUST
RG3 is going to be a complete bust for whatever team takes him. As far as "mobile" QB''s go, he is toward the bottom of the pack in terms of skills.
*He is not that fast (he used to be olympic sprinter, but only expected to run 4.4 to 4.5 because of knee injury)
*His decision making is very very poor (I believe he will have a very very very very low wunderlic score).
*He has already had a serious knee injury
*He is too small to be a mobile QB
*Mobile Qb's have not won a SB in a long, long time. Traditional pocket passers, with some ability to move around in the pocket (such as luck) are the Qbs having success in the league. Mobile, inaccurate Qb's with poor decision making are not having success.
*He does not have leadeship abilities.
*He will not be accepted in good ole Indiana.

my analyst of your post.... terrible post.
see how that works…. now I know what Kravitz handle on this blog is.
Mischaracterization
While it’s perfectly reasonable to be skeptical of any college prospect, I think you’ve mischaracterized (or worse, stereotyped). Griffin. I’ll start out by saying I work for Baylor Athletics, so you can take whatever I say with that grain of salt (I grew up in Anderson, IN—lifelong Colts fan). Nonetheless, I think most of your bullet-points are inaccurate.
1.) Forget about whatever his 40 time is. Griffin was a world class, Olympic-caliber sprinter. You are correct in saying he’s not as fast as he was pre-injury. Still, he has take-it-to-the house speed and elusivity when scrambling. In college, when a play broke down, he showed the ability to out-run the entire defense—not just for a first down, but often for a touchdown or huge gain.
2.) Let’s address his decision making. He threw 37 TD’s and 6 picks this year. That’s a 6:1 ratio. In a pass-happy offense. Making snap-decisions. Making difficult throws. Six. In his career, 78 td’s vs. 17 interceptions. I watched every game this year, and only recall him throwing a ball up for grabs once. Yes, once. At Texas A & M. Everyone in the room gasped when he did it. As a collegiate player, his decision-making was sterling, spectacular, basically above-reproach. He found open receivers, threaded needles, connected on deep balls, extended plays, and found his third and fourth reads when necessary. Dude is money. He’s not an athletic quarterback. He’s a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete.
2.) You suspect he will have a very low Wonderlic score. Based on what? No really, based on what? I have my suspicions. Whatever the case, perhaps you are unaware that he finished 7th in his class academically in high school and enrolled at Baylor early. Perhaps you are unaware that he graduated from Baylor in 3 years. Perhaps you are also unaware that he will have his masters degree in May and is a candidate for law school. He’s as intelligent off the field as on. All signs point to him having no trouble at all with the Wonderlic. Just curious once more, on what do you base your assumption that he’ll have trouble?
3.) Leadership ability: you needn’t worry. His teammates were ready to go to war for and with him every week. Perhaps you didn’t notice that we won 10 games down here this year. At Baylor. Yes, at Baylor. That doesn’t just happen. He routinely had his teammates in the right spot to be successful. He earned their respect by coming back from injury, working hard, and being a teammate worth emulating. He basically put the hopes and dreams of a fan base hungry for success squarely on his shoulders, and easily handled that burden at the age of 22. At a university that prides itself on Christian influence and educational excellence, he was a worthy face of the school. If you want to see what kind of leader he is, watch his Heisman speech. You’ll not hear a lot of “I’s” and “me’s” there. You will hear “Baylor, my coaches, and my teammates” a lot.
4.) He won’t be accepted in “Good ol’ Indiana.” Why not? I have my suspicions why you say that. Whatever the case, again, whichever team drafts him is going to find they have a talented, engaging, civic-minded young man on their team who is worthy of their loyalty. If he comes to Indiana and wins game, he’ll be accepted just fine.
I probably got too worked-up there over an anonymous fan post. And truth be told, I think Andrew Luck is probably a better fit for the Colts. Time will tell. But any characterization of RG3 that casts him in any other light than an extremely talented, hard-working, intelligent young man and player is ignorant. Again I’ll say: he’s not an amazing athletic quarterback. He’s an amazing quarterback who happens to be athletic.

Your suspicions would be correct
this guy has a history of making those kind of comments.

Colts fan since Tony Dungy's 48th Birthday.
Free will is an illusion, but pragmatically, the illusion of self (ego), choice, freedom, consciousness, are all necessary for the game or struggle to move. No struggle, no universe.
Get well soon, Peyton Manning
*He will not be accepted in good ole Indiana.
that was the best part of your post
Ya know for all the things omahacolt is
He doesn’t quite strike me as a racist. I’m hoping it was just sarcasm on his part.

If he's going to paint a picture
He better decide to use colors or black and white.
give up shoospa
stop folllowing me around and trying to be cool. you know nothing about me
i liked that part because he was implying (or seemed like it) that lots of colts fans are racist. which i though twas funny.
and probably true
Nor do I want to.
I have formed my opinion of you from what I read. You are probably a pimple faced 10 year old with a prick of a father and an over protective mother who won’t let you play sports. So you sit in your room and read about football and try to force your stupid little opinions on others thru these sites. If that’s not what you are? I’ll bet alot of it brings back memories.
you are completely wrong.
which is not shocking at all. i would guess that i am older than you. i did play sports and my parents were just fine.
OK I'll play
I’m old enough to remember Bill Curry snap the ball to Johnny Unitas. Chess is not a sport. I will leave you’re parents out of this. I’m sure they have been thru enough.
really?
you are that old yet you chime in all the time with the childish insults? what a champ you must be
Just give
what you ask for. If you want to throw stones and childish remarks. Expect to get them back in return. If you were to act like an adult and have a little respect for others idea’s and opinions. They might give some of your thoughts a little consideration. Hard as it is to believe, there is something to your opinions.(Shit did I just say that) So yes, I have been a Die Hard Colts fan thru all the bad times for 45 years. So give us POOR spelling ,BAD grammar, OLD timers a little respect.
lol
go back and read. the name calling and acting like a child rarely come from me, if at all.
i may not blow sunshine up your ass and may call an opinion stupid but i try not to call the poster stupid.
dont feed me your shit about respect. respect is earned. you should be old enough to know that
And back to the gutter you roll.
My guess? Even when you’re old enough to earn it. You never will. Final answer with you.

i am plenty old enough
i dont go around asking for respect. and you shouldnt either. stop worrying so much about me and try to make better posts.
Stampede Blue's Reputation is Adversely Affected By This Kind of Idiocy
Every single line of this post is baseless inane spew. I am a Hoosier living in Texas and I am flat out embarrassed by this resident of good ole Indiana. I am proud to be from Indiana but I am not proud of you.
Those of us who have watched college football across all conferences and across all of America this year may feel quite differently. RG3 is by far he best whole person talent to come out in years. Time will prove that he is a superior scholar, athlete, quarterback, leader, civic leader, community asset, winner, and television personality.
I believe Stampede Blue would raise its standing in the online universe if it would police itself from this hateful vomit.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

what you said
This may actually take the cake for the dumbest thing I’ve read on a Colts blog, and that’s saying a lot.
Being a Hoosier...
I’m embarrassed this person is trying to represent Indiana. We’re much better people than that. A standout individual such as Robert Griffin III would be welcome here with open arms.
As I recall
African-American athletes have long been accepted in “good ole Indiana.” Have you ever heard of Mel Daniels, George McGinnis, Reggie Miller, Dale and Antonio Davis, Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Calbert Cheaney, Glenn Robinson, Alan Henderson, etc.etc.etc.?
I think “He will not be accepted in good ole Indiana” should read “He will not be accepted by bigr2.”
Nothing's complicated if you understand it.

I was born in Indiana
and lived there until I was 14. I lived in Wayne Township, whch was, predominantly a white neighborhood. The school I went to however, had no shortage of black kid. They got on a bus and went to our school. This really helped in all of our development as peple, as we weren’t ignorant, like farm kids or something. White kids made black friends and vice versa. We played sports together. We were above the stereotypes. There were smart black kids and dumb white kids. Athletic white kids and nerdy black kids.
In short, it’s that experience that makes me look back on my time in Indiana fondly, and consider it on the short list of places I’d like to move my family in the future.
ctnyc left some names out. Clark Kellogg, Chuck Person, Joby Wright, Eric Dickerson, Jon Hand… these were all endeared athletes during their time in Indiana.
Bigr2, the world done moved on and left you behind. People like you were relics in the 1980s. Now, it’s just sad. You’re probably too arrogant to be ashamed, but you should at least have the good graces to be quiet.
i think it is pretty obvious
that some fans like white players easier than black players. for example
rob morris -do i need to comment
stokely – this guy was as popular if not more than harrison
collie – people have been all over this kid and have dogged garcon. even though garcon is the better player
angerer – people call him the next ray lewis. lol. seriously. i have heard that
there are a decent amount of fans that will rally around a white qb faster than a black qb. its a fact.
note that i did not say that ever fan is a racist. i am sure some of you racists will take it that way*********
Collie is better than Garcon
Garcon has better potential but the same could have been said of Roy Hall…….
Believe in Blue.

really
because garcon has had better years and is ahead of collie on the depth chart. or was i should say. garcon being a free agent and all.
comparing garcon and roy hall is ignorant. roy hall never played. garcon has been a starter for years.
garcon has been more productive than collie. yet you say he is better. why is that?
I'll take Pierre
Manning made Collie as this year showed. Garcon would obviously be better with a better QB than Painter/Orlovsky, but with his sped he can be a threat anyway.
Garcon
His play-making ability excites me. I love how a receiver likes to lay the boom stick on defenders like Garcon. Sometimes after he catches the ball this young man has anger and wants to run people over. I like how he caught a pass over the middle and Ray Lewis laid him out and Garcon got up and was chippy with crazy Ray. Then there are the simply amazing one handed catches most men can dream about. Then there is the dropped passes that hit him right between the numbers and you are like really? But Garcon>Collie and at this point Garcon was-is since he is a FA Garcon>than any other Colts receiver right now.

Lack Of Information I Suppose
“RG3 is going to be a complete bust for whatever team takes him.”
Subjective opinion.
“As far as “mobile” QB’’s go, he is toward the bottom of the pack in terms of skills.""
Decidedly false. He is the best passer of any “mobile” QB prospect since at least Steve McNair.
“*He is not that fast (he used to be olympic sprinter, but only expected to run 4.4 to 4.5 because of knee injury)”
Even if this were true – and it isn’t – this would still be much faster than Cam Newton, Vince Young, Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb and Steve Young. RG3 won’t be much of a runner in the NFL because he is a straight-line runner with a lack of change of direction or elusiveness, not a lack of speed. If RG3 can get a seam up the middle with good blocking downfield, he is gone, untouched.
“*His decision making is very very poor (I believe he will have a very very very very low wunderlic score).”
It is Wonderlic. And that is all that I have to say about that.
“*He has already had a serious knee injury”
Which would be relevant if he were a CB or WR. With a QB, not so much.
“*He is too small to be a mobile QB”
Even if he were a mobile QB – and he isn’t – RG3 is a whopping 1 inch shorter than John Elway and Tim Tebow, the same height as Steve Young, Donovan McNabb, and Steve McNair, an inch taller than Kordell Stewart, 3 inches taller than Michael Vick and Rich Gannon, and 6 inches taller than Doug Flutie. Oh yeah, and he is 220 lbs. He’ll add 10 lbs. in about 1 season just by virtue of giving up track and moving to an NFL strength and conditioning program.
“*Mobile Qb’s have not won a SB in a long, long time. Traditional pocket passers, with some ability to move around in the pocket (such as luck) are the Qbs having success in the league. Mobile, inaccurate Qb’s with poor decision making are not having success.”
I will assume that you have never actually seen Griffin III play, and assume that he is akin to Vince Young and Michael Vick. P.S. Donovan McNabb wins a Super Bowl had EITHER Chad Lewis played OR Terrell Owens been 100%. Or had Andy Reid drafted Plaxico Burress instead of Corey Simon. Or drafted Reggie Wayne (or Chad Johnson or Todd Heap or Alge Crumpler or Chris Chambers or Steve Smith) instead of Freddie Mitchell.
“*He does not have leadeship abilities.”
Yeah. Right … sure
“*He will not be accepted in good ole Indiana.”
So … Texas – where Warren Moon played ALMOST THIRTY YEARS AGO – is more progressive than Indiana? Yeah, right sure … allow me to say that if Indiana embraced Tony Rice (who won a national title at Notre Dame) they’ll embrace RG3 so long as he wins.
