Just My Opinion

For the Colts, where do Peyton, Reggie, and Jeff go next year??

Peyton goes to one of 3; Chiefs, Miami, Jets. Love to see him with the Jets but Chiefs could be an amazing shot for him with Jamal Charles and Bowe + Baldwin Attack. Hali, Berry, and Flowers on defense..Big gamble but I could see Chiefs wanting that. However I see that Miami and Redskins(possibly another good choice) might offer him the crazy money. Ties to Miami condo isn't that strong but being not too far from New Orleans, and in warm weather could be desirable. Jets on the other hand give Manning the best possible chance to go now and win. Their defense works hard, and possibly the offensive run game can start up with a better pass game which manning can provide. Manning's dislike for Rex Ryan could be the biggest deal breaker here. I expect Manning will be released within the next 3 weeks. Love #18, and will always follow him but love the HorseShoe even more now(NJ and PA resident here) . and Hope he does win another championship while we rebuild.

Wayne on the other hand I could see go to a team that needs a veteran receiver and a team looking for another WR on the outside. For me 3 top spots include Buffalo, Jets, and St. Louis. In Buffalo, Stevie Johnson needs another potent reciever, even if buffalo drafts a top wr, they might want an experienced WR to teach the young guys there( and he won't be another T.O). On the Jets, the Jets need another wr after Plaxico has left and possibly Holmes too(More likely to happens if Peyton comes to NYJ) , otherwise, Sanchez needs reliable hands and Wayne is a great choice who works hard and still has potential. In St. Louis, Fischer needs a veteran WR and knows the potential and ability of Wayne, with a lot of Cap Room a great pick up for the Rams to have a WR with Amendola(who got his season cut short thanks to injury). Another outside chance I see for Wayne is the Chicago Bears look out for that one.

Finally, I expect Jeff to do one of 3 things, retire and run for NFLPA Players President, return to the Colts, or play with wherever #18 goes.( I doubt this choice the most).

Just My First Post, give me replies and criticism.

OF COURSE

you are assuming that Manning will be healthy enough to play and that his arm strength will return. If his arm strength does not come back all the way back he probably won’t be the Peyton Manning we remember.

I think there is still a possibility that Peyton reduces his cap hit and plays for the Colts for 2 more year.

Didn’t say it was likely. I said it was possible. Seriously man, don’t just bash everyone and contribute to the conversation

by TrueBlue87 on Feb 6, 2012 4:46 PM EST up reply actions

i didnt bash you

it is possible that the colts could win 5 super bowls in a row. i am not going to post that though because it is foolish

sometimes you got to do your homework. even if the colts cut manning and sign him back, he will still be over 11 million against the cap. also it is unlikely that manning wont screw over the colts. it is in his best interest to do so. and that is the only thing manning cares about

by omahacolt on Feb 6, 2012 4:52 PM EST up reply actions

Umm… I think they cut him and he goes elsewhere….that being said how do you figure he “will count 11 against cap” if they bring him back?… So you already know the details of a contract that hasn’t been written yet?? And why would he want to “screw over the Colts and that’s only thing he cares about” what is your source for that…?

I will guarantee Manning will give whatever team signs him a very, very cap friendly deal because he CARES ABOUT WINNING!

by AJ Colt on Feb 6, 2012 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

thats easy AJ

to bring back manning at a different number than his contract then they have to cut him first. cutting him means he costs 10.4 million against the cap. you add vet minimum to that(he wouldnt work for vet minimum) and you get over 11 million.

that would be best case scenario for manning and our cap

manning has never been cap friendly so i wouldnt bet too much on that

I hate to say to admit it but

all 3 are gone. Keeping Manning is the least likely to happen I think. All 3 are going to leave huge holes to fill. We’re in for a couple of years of tough going.

Sadly, I know Manning to the Chiefs isn't likely.

But I would love for my team to once again get a HOF qb, even if for only a couple years.

Lol

ya I see i did a GW Bush on that. I need to proof read before I post

Well this opinion is the hypothetical

We’re just looking at what happens, and I agree that all 3 probably won’t be back. Irsay snubbed Reggie by making Pierre the top priority(with mathis) to resign. Saturday’s playing days depend on how he feels, I believe he’s still got a year left. and finally Manning, no matter where he goes I would love to see him play hard and win.
