The Jets landing Tim Tebow, who was sent away by the Broncos after they signed Peyton Manning, did not sit well with Drew Stanton. Stanton had signed with the Jets last week specifically to be Mark Sanchez's back-up. With Tebow now in NYC, Stanton asked for a trade. Today, he got his wish.

The Jets have reportedly sent Stanton and a 7th round pick to the Colts in exchange for a 6th rounder.

Stanton is a big guy, at 6'3, 230 lbs. He played in six games for the Detroit Lions in 2010, throwing for 780 yards, four TDs, and three picks. He was drafted by the Lions in the second round back in 2007. It's presumed he will be Andrew Luck's back-up for the 2012 season.

Luck has not been drafted yet by the Colts, but pretty much everyone and their mother believes the Stanford QB will go No. 1 overall in the 2012 NFL Draft.
