Today's press conference was just a formality for most. The news was expected and now teams are making a mad dash to win the services of Peyton Manning. Who will be the victor?

While this process will be painful in itself, we will be keeping an eye on things. I mean, how can we not?

After only one day, the reported plans of a few teams have already hit the media. The Jets have inquired about whether Manning would be interested in joining their team, according to Manish Mehta. The Seahawks are aggressively moving forward to win the sweepstakes with big money, along with the Dolphins, and the Redskins.

The Broncos are pondering about putting "Tebow Time" on hold, or possibly terminating it altogether for some Manning glory. And Darnell Dockett, along with the rest of Arizona, are clamoring for the Cardinals to bring Manning to the desert for an "18 to 11" connection.

And this is only the beginning... There are most certainly other teams interested and compiling a list of teams who are not interested would surely be less exhausting.

Marshall Faulk seems to think that any NFC team is out of the question because the Manning family doesn't want to rule out the possibility of a Manning v. Manning Super Bowl. Faulk is likely speculating, but what's clear is this: Peyton Manning will be playing for someone in 2012. With his intense preparation regimen and the draft only a month away, his best bet is to find a new team quickly and get this new chapter of his career started.

Stay tuned and keep those tissues close, friends.
