Jim Irsay Pimps Ryan Tannehill On Twitter

Colts owner Jim Irsay decided to use Twitter this afternoon to talk about how wonderful Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill is:

Translation: I would really like it if a AFC rival team gave up a ton of picks to move up to the No. 3 spot and draft Ryan Tannehill. -Sincerely, Jim Irsay

On Twitter, I had a fun back and forth with SI's Will Carroll and Indy radio host Jon "JMV" Michael Vincent regarding Irsay's little love note to Tannehill. All of us agree Irsay is BSing. He probably wants someone in his division or conference to overpay for Tannehill, possibly allowing better players to fall to the Colts at pick no. 34.

That, or he's just bored and is now expounding on players other teams should take an interest in.

Personally, I think Tannehill is a great quarterback prospect. If you are the Cleveland Browns at No. 4, you have to take him over anyone else. This is a quarterback-driven league now. running the ball and playing defense are secondary to having a potential franchise quarterback.

Tannehill offers that potential.
