This is my first ever post, so please be gentle. I've been reading articles from this site for a while now and enjoy hearing other colts fans opinions. Being a fan of the colts but living in Ohio limits my oppertunities to really talk Colts. That makes Stampedeblue a bit of an escape for me, so thanks to all that contribute here. Now, onto my post. NFL.com stated today that Mike Wallace is generating some trade interest. I have to admit I'm kind of hoping the new regime is interested. More after the jump.
As a restricted FA with a first round price tag no team has seemed very interested, but apparently he plans on not signing his tender and holding out of Steeler activities. Maybe this gives the colts an oppertunity to reunite Wallace with his old O-Coordinator for a bargain price. But how much is he worth? In my opinion he's worth the #34 spot and some later round picks and/or future picks. At 34 most likely Fleener is gone along with any top rated wide out so Wallace seems worthy of the sacrifice. In southern Ohio I was able to watch him often and he did loads for my fantasy team (2nd place out of 10) and it really seemed as though he caught a deep td pass every game. I think he'd be a great toy for luck to start out with. Maybe even a little similar to how Manning had Harrisson as his deep threat to start his career off with.
