2012 NFL Draft- Indianapolis Colts Draft Pick Selections
Round: 7
Pick: 208
Player: Justin Anderson
Position: Offensive Tackle
College: Georgia
SB Nation College Blog: Dawg Sports
Scouting Report:
Strengths
Anderson has very good size for a tackle. He has developed his footwork, has a functional pass set and can anchor himself and mirror, a technique he employs regularly. He is naturally a strong player who can move defenders in the run game and can use his feet to mirror and shade. He knows how to use his big frame to his advantage.Weaknesses
Anderson is still developing. He recovered well from injury as a senior, but had faced durability concerns until then. After spending a year at the heralded Hargrave Military Academy, it took him some time to come into his own and develop the footwork and coordination necessary to be effective in the SEC. He will battle weight issues, and pro teams will need to know he can stay active and healthy for the long-term.
Stampede Blue's Initial Take On The Pick:
This is now eight of nine picks dedicated to the offense. Anderson looks like a project player at tackle or guard. Ryan Grigson is a former lineman himself. Thus, this just looks like a guy they might develop along the o-line for depth.
Draft needs remaining: Quarterback, Nose Tackle, Cornerback, Wide Receiver, Tight End
