The Indianapolis Colts and the NFL released their preseason schedules today, including the preseason games that will be featured in primetime.
August 12th: Rams at Colts
August 19th: Colts at Steelers, which is a 8:00 PM primetime game on NBC
August 25th: Colts at Redskins, which surely will feature Andrew Luck v. Robert Griffin III
August 30th: Bengals at Colts
You can see the rest of the primetime preseason games here.
I find it interesting that the August 19th game between Indy and Pittsburgh is in primetime, but not the Colts third preseason game, which will most likely feature Andrew Luck and RG3 playing for three-plus quarters. If I'm a TV executive for NBC, I WANT THAT GAME!
The Rams and Bengals are typical preseason partners due to the close proximity of both cities to Indianapolis. In past years, the Colts have treated the fourth preseason game as a completely useless event. It will be interesting to see if new head coach Chuck Pagano takes a different approach.
