With the draft coming up in three weeks and the Luck/Griffin arguement beat to death, it's time to look at something else. I'm wondering which prospects will be reaches and which players could fall or be undervaued.
The obvious choices for reaches:
Ryan Tannehill-It looks like he is going top five, a reach for a prospect that should probably go mid to late first.
Dontari Poe- Physically gifted, but lack of production in college is troubling. Anything close to the top 10 is a reach.
Malcolm Floyd, Alshon Jeffrey, Rueben Randle and Kendell Wright- All have tools and question marks. If there is a mid first round run on these guys, I think they will be reaches. Could be a decent pick at the end of the first, but most are second rounders in my opinion.
Fleener-I don't see him as a first rounder (I know I'm in the minority), but he could go as high as 15. Health concern with his back can't be forgotten.
Undervalued-these guys will go relatively high, but maybe not as high as they should. Character issues, lack of measurables or 2nd tier positions could make these guys fall a little.
Trumaine Johnson- A small school player with some character flags.
Janoris Jenkins- Character issues could drop him well into the second.
Chandler Jones- A good five tech that is valuable in todays 3-4. Could slip well into the 2nd.
Morris Claiborne-Nobody seems to value the wonderlick but the teams themselves. Does he slip out of the top ten?
Josh Norman- Another small school player with character concerns.
I'm not a draft guru, but I'm up for any discussion that isn't Luck/Griffin. I have even less knowledge of later round prospects so I didn't bring them up.
