The first of two off-season Colts minicamps begins today with this one focused on the rookies and the first overall draft pick, Andrew Luck.

Colts Minicamps:

• May 4-6 (rookies)
• June 12-16

Colts OTAs:

• May 15-17
• May 22-24
• June 4-7

For Luck, this is a critical time because, after this first minicamp, he cannot participate in several of the team's OTAs due to graduation requirements at Stanford. Head coach Chuck Pagano stated last week that rookie tight end Coby Fleener (also from Stanford) was exempt from this because he has already graduated.

Stanford is on a quarter system rather than a semester or trimester one.

For offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, it's like déjà vu all over again. In May of 1998, he met and worked with a rookie named Peyton Manning for the first time. Back then, he was the team's QB coach. Now, he gets to work with Andrew Luck.

5th round draft pick Josh Chapman, NT, is not expected to participate as he is recovering from an ACL injury sustained last year. Chapman will wear No. 61.

If you are wondering why certain players are not assigned numbers, players who were drafted do not, as yet, appear on the Colts.com roster page because they have not yet been signed to contracts. The reason Andrew Luck is assigned No. 12 is because it is fairly obvious he will get that number.
