Because Andrew Luck has not technically graduated, he cannot return to the Indiana Farm Bureau Center (for those of you who remember the old commercials with that singing crow, "There's more than corn in Indiana...") until the Indianapolis Colts hold their mandatory minicamp in June.

Between now and then, Luck and his wide receivers will have to get creative in how the practice.

Since Andrew has to finish classes at Stanford, and since two of his current Colts teammates are also students at Stanford (Coby Fleener and Griff Whalen), you have to think that the Stanford crew will find time to continue to develop their timing on campus as they finish up classes. Amazingly, Fleener is trying to finish up graduate school.

What about the other Colts receivers? How will Luck find a way to work on his timing with them between now and June 7th, the day Luck can return for OTAs in Indianapolis?

Reggie Hayes of provides us with some details:

[Luck] was talking about the fact he'll miss Colts' organized team activities in May and early June because of the end of his college classes. He said he'd like to throw with Austin Collie and Reggie Wayne in the meantime.

Collie has a home in Sacramento, Calif., not too far from Stanford.

Wayne is in Miami.

"I won't make Reggie come to where I am," Luck said. "I'll go to where he is."

Twice during rookie minicamp Luck was asked about working out with Collie, who has a home in Sacramento, which is about a two-hour drive north from Pal Alto. Interestingly, Columbus, OH is roughly a two-hour drive from Indianapolis. During the offseason in 2007, then-Colts QB Peyton Manning helped then-rookie wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez get acclimated to the playbook by driving from Indy to Columbus. Gonzo was finishing up school at that point (just like Luck is), and was unable to attend some of the Colts OTAs.

Luck doesn't even have to drive, if he doesn't want to. Mike Chappell of the Indy Star reported that Colts owner Jim Irsay has opted to give Luck access to his private plane. So, if Andrew wants to fly down to South Beach and run the tree with Reggie and others prior to June 7th, he can do that. I'm willing to bet he will, too.
