Ok, my early thoughts on this game:

I know a lot of people like Collie on this forum but I still think the Colts should work out some type of injury settlement with him and cut their losses right now. I don't think he will be able to play football anymore without suffering a concussion. Griff Whalen is the obvious choice to take his place but I think the Colts should actually keep Kris Adams instead. Whalen and Brazill are basically the same person but Brazill offers more speed. WR corps should look like this if one isn't acquired through free agency or a trade: Wayne, Avery, T.Y. Hilton, Lavon Brazill, Kris Adams, Jeremy Ross or Whalen. Or possibly think about keeping 7.

Time to let go of Freeney and get something for him. I think Hughes and Addison are more than capable of replacing him in this 3-4 defense. I know this is only based off of two preseason games but I think both are showing why they should make the roster. No one can say Hughes isn't playing his butt off! He is all over the field, in coverage and even making tackles. I would move Mathis into Freeney's position and go from there.

Darren Evans should be the odd man out, he runs small too small to me. Vick Ballard and Delone Carter will start out backing up Brown but will take the starting spot by season's end. If there isn't a big hole in front of Brown he is a below average back. Too many times he simply buries his helmet into the lineman's back.

Be on the lookout for the Jenkins trade pretty soon. Colts poor play from any CB not named Powers combined with Brandon Carr playing well for Dallas accelerates this trade in my head!!! So CBs will be: Powers, Jenkins, King, Vaughn, Rucker and D.J. Johnson!!!!
