Donald Brown needs a fullback. In the most traditional sense. Not an h-back, not a two tight end offense, but a real honest to goodness "fullback". Just watch his college film, I think he usually had a fullback to break him to glory. Then why would someone draft a kid who made a living in college with a fullback, put him in the pros and say, sorry no fullback, you're on your own, good luck kid, we run a multiple receiver offense. You just don't do this, it just doesn't make sense. I'm a true supporter of Donald Brown. He's got loads of talent, we've seen it on occassion. But his style of running requires help to give him space to break free. We knew that when we drafted him. I'll go on record in saying that we will never have a successful and consistent running game with our best runner, Donald Brown without the traditional fullback formation. And I'll further say, if Donald goes to another team next year, who employs a "traditional fullback formation" Donald will be very successful.
