Per Adam Schefter tweet, Andrew Luck is Pro Bowl bound in place of Tom Brady.
Going into the playoffs Luck had a 50/50 chance of going to Hawaii, if Denver, Houston, or New England won the AFC Championship Andrew would replace any one of the 3 QB’s selected to the original roster. Include odds that one of these 3 teams would win the AFC Championship and the percentage jumps to about an 85% chance. In fact before the Colts even took the field Cincinnati had lost, removing one of the teams holding Luck back from a bid. The other two teams? Colts/Ravens, the fact they played one another increased the chances even more. Best case scenario would have been a Colts win, this would then leave only a Super Bowl bound Colts teams to spoil Andrew’s first of many trips to the Pro Bowl, fair trade! We all know how it turned out, the slim odds went against Luck, leaving only next year…
Everything worked out perfect and we didn’t have to cheer for the Patriots for it to happen. I still find it amusing Matt Schaub made it over Andrew, but some may say Luck is undeserving as well. However this was a great season for the Colts rookie QB, topping it off with his first Pro Bowl of many to come, and a hopeful Rookie of the Year Award to follow. We can all thank Mr. Brady for being a poor sport just like his coach. "let’s go to the lake" (Jim Rome reference).
