Colts: Topping the Early Power Rankings.

The Indianapolis Colts are not a fluke.

They are not a joke.

With wins over the Seahawks, 49ers, and now the Broncos, the Colts have cracked the power rankings in the #1 spot, according to Bleacher reports early rankings. I know it's Bleacher Report, but I love their assesment.

The Indianapolis Colts don't have the best record in the NFL, but they have the best wins. By far.

The Colts have taken down the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. All three teams were ranked No. 1 in these power rankings at some point this season. Their 5-2 record might not be as flawless as the Chiefs' 7-0, but the quality of wins is much more impressive.

It's important to remember that power rankings are not standings. They're a reflection of who the best team in the NFL is at that moment. Right now, the Colts have earned the top spot based on their three huge wins over the three best teams in the NFL.

Period.

I agree. We don't have the best record. We don't have the most impressive numbers. But we're winning the "big games". I won't say the P word or refer to the end of the season games leading up to the Superbowl, but all I'll say is that those ARE big games. And it looks like we're headed that way.
