So the worse has been confirmed. Reggie has torn his ACL and is out for the season. Another body on the IR for the Colts. So the question now is "How does Grigson replace him?"
The most obvious and economical options would be to sign
a player off our practice squad.
Griff Whalen, a Stampede Blue favorite, would appear to be the most logical choice. He knows the playbook, has a connection with Luck and most importantly he can catch the ball. He would be able to take on a possession receiver role, similar to how we were using Wayne.
The other PS member we could promote is Da' Rick Rogers. We all have heard the stories about his problems in college. And even some diva issues when he was in Buffalo. However he was a beast of a WR in college. If he brings even half of of how he was in college, he could end up helping the team.
Either player would work well, and would cost us less than most options to gain a WR who gets the system and playbook already.
What do you think?
