A nice breakthrough week for the Predictor picking winners last week, as it went 12-3 Straight Up, including the Colts win over the Broncos. And of the three losses, only one of them was really wrong (Vikings over Giants). The Ravens lost at the horn by a field goal, and the Patriots "pushed" their way to a loss in OT. Can't say I'm too disappointed in that one. On the season Straight Up record is 69-38.
Against the Spread was 7-8, bringing our season record back to .500 at 52-52-3. Last year I was well below average at this point in the season, and it's always done better later in the season (as it gets more data). I'm hoping it can get up close to 55%. Let's start this week (and it's off to a good start).
Picks for Week 8, where the closest game it says is 2 points. I hope it means more winners with less close games predicted:
Super Contest was a disappointing 2-3 last week, bringing season total to 18-17. I forgot to make public my desire to place the Panthers in my top 5 before the game Thursday, so I'll pick another game. But rest assured that was easy money Thursday night. Tampa plays in Seattle next week. I'd give a boatload of points no problem.
