Colts Owner Jim Irsay's Recent Tweets Were Weak, Inconsistent

Twitter: @JimIrsay

Jim Irsay. Weaksauce.

Immediately following the Colts’ 44-20 preseason loss to the Bills back in August, Jim Irsay jumped on Twitter and ripped his head coach and general manager.

Rightly so, I might add.

The team did not look ready to play that game in August. For an owner who charges regular season prices for meaningless games in preseason, that lack of readiness was, apparently, unacceptable.

On Sunday, the Colts once again did not look ready to play, and, just like the Buffalo game, they got spanked. However, unlike the Bills games, this one counted. Immediately after the Colts left the field following their 38-8 drubbing at the hands of a sub-.500 Rams team, head coach Chuck Pagano admitted that he hadn’t done enough to get the team ready to play.

Mount Irsay was sure to explode on Twitter Sunday night. How could it not? Right?

Wrong.

Sorry, Mr. Irsay. That’s... just just weak, man.

You blasted your coach and your G.M. following a preseason loss, noting how the team’s performance was "crap." You even APOLOGIZED to the fanbase for the performance. Yet, when the exact same thing happens in a regular season game, you pull out the tired "we’re lucky to be as good as we are" line?

Weaksauce, Jim. Bill Polian nods in approval.

Mind you, this is the same owner who erupted on Twitter following a disappointing WIN against the Raiders in Week One, and who crowed obnoxiously following the Week 7 win over the Broncos.

All I ask is consistency. That’s all.

If you’re not going to crush your coach on Twitter for crapping the bed at home to a Rams team with Kellen Clemens as the quarterback, then why the hell did you tear Pagano and Ryan Grigson a new one back in August? Why were you bitching after a Week One win?

Never mind. I know I won’t get an answer to those questions. By all means, go back to tweeting more song lyrics, or cheesy contest giveaways, Mr. Irsay. At least those are consistent.
