Mathis Injured Manning?

Apparently when we played the Broncos, Manning sustained an ankle sprain. We should all remember the second Mathis sack where he grabbed him around the ankle and pulled him down, which would be the most logical place that injury would have occurred. This was after double sprains against the Jaguars, and an additional injury vs. San Diego, ESPN is reporting.

He is undergoing an MRI on both his ankle and his knee. The Broncos' backup is Brock Osweiller. For those that were complaining about the injuries the Colts have faced this year and openly wondering how the Broncos haven't had that problem all year in the comments section, this should give you pause.

He says he plans to play vs. the Chiefs, but to beat a dead colt into the ground, this only further reinforces why taking Luck was the correct choice, There are questions about Manning's durability, and as ESPN points out, because of the injury to his neck and loss of strength in his arm, he relies on his legs for his power and his footwork for accuracy.

Hopefully, he'll be able to continue to play, but these reports are worrisome as to the longevity of his career.
