Off season Targets
Like most I want to win now but we are in re-build mode and that takes a little bit. This season is far from over but lets preview what we can try to fix this off-season.
Brian De La Puente- Center from Saints may be easier to attain pending Jimmy Graham massive contract. I love the Idea of having a guy anchor the line who played with Brees. I figure this guy can diagnose most blitz and get our line into position to protect #12.
Jonathan Martin- He is in a tough position and may be forced to play Guard for us if he wants to continue his football career.
Jeremy Maclin- I see this as a no brainer. Many will argue he is injury prone but in the same breathe think that Reggie will come back 100%. He is the best available WR routes, hands, speed and price. He is coming off injury and the Eagles shown they can win without him. I see him with 3 real options Eagles, Chiefs and Us. I hope its us.
Brian Orakpo- This maybe one of the hardest moves to make but it would be welcome. We need a pass rush and Mathis and Orakpo could be dangerous and be very similar to that Freeney Mathis combination we were used to for so many years.
Bradley Roby CB from Ohio St.- He has been dropping this season but this may benefit us great athlete and would be great depth for our secondary.
Cyril Richardson OT/G Baylor- Not a sexy pick but much needed one or two pieces and with Donald Thomas returning this O-Line can shape up this guy can help us build that monster.
Donte Moncrief WR Ole Miss- Having a off year but he has great speed and a good route tree. He is 6'3 and doesn't mind going across the middle.
Davante Adams WR Fresno State- Has great hands and can high point the ball, another former basketball player turned to a Football Player. Very raw on routes but could be a big red zone target.
But hey I'm just a guy drinking Dos Equis what do I know.
