The colts have started slow in almost every game this year. Last night, it was, in my opinion, a few bad penalties and the colts O line was getting crushed by Houston's pass rush.
What Pep needed to do was immediately adjust and move to no huddle, which dramatically slows down a pass rush. Instead, he waiting until the end of the 3rd quarter.
Pep is way too slow to get away from the gameplan (ex San Diego).
Thoughts from the game:
*I love Laron Landry. Dude is a wrecking ball, very much like Bob Sanders. Even when he misses he disrupts plays. Without him our defense looks a lot worse.
*DHB needs to be gone. Great guy, great athlete, absolutely cannot catch the ball consistently. Problems locating the ball, and very poor hands. The sideline catch he missed was really bad. He can look good on short routes but that is all we can give him.
*fleener stepped up and played well.
*Really like Greg Manusky, when the going gets tough he brings the house. I think he is fantastic coordinator. Yes we still have issues but the guy is a very good gameplanner.
*No matter what you say, the Trent Richardson trade was terrible. Trent is a good running back, not great, but we gave up a 1st round pick and that sucks.
*Our interior O line is very bad. Only bright spot is Thornton, who had a bad game last night. But he can get better.
