Thoughts during Titans Game

It's been awhile since I've posted, but here are some thoughts that came to me while watching this team try and re-adjust their game plan during the final stretch of the season.

Trent Richardson needs Jesus. The guy has almost Zero vision. I have never seen such a physically gifted running back look so ineffective over the course of game. He's not good at the beginning. He's not a good closer. He's not a great pass catcher. He can't pick up 3rd and 2's. He can't pick up 4th and 1's. I still have hope he can right his wrongs, but it's going to take some supreme coaching and improved line play. His only real strength at this point is as a pass blocker.

Inversely, Donald Brown has been great as long as he doesn't have to pass block.

DHB needs to go. The experiment is over. The guy couldn't catch HIV in a South African crack den.

Da'Rick Rodgers needs to replace DHB. There's no possible way he's any worse than Darius Heyward Bey.

The O-Line is as bad as it was last year. It's a damn shame Andrew Luck has to run for his life on every play.

TY isn't Marvin Harrison. He's darn good, but he can't be relied upon to take over a game like Marvin without a guy like Reggie requiring some of the double teams.

Stanley Havili is simply a beast. Many of us have been asking for a FB for years. It appears this team has finally found their long term answer at FB.

Coby Fleener has really stepped up. I don't know what happened to his chronic case of stone hands, but the guy has been nothing but a solid contributor since Reggie went down.

Laron Landry is fast. He can't cover very well, but he can lay wood in the backfield even lining up nearly 10-15 yards off the line of scrimmage. Amazing. The guy has got to be juicing.

I hope Ricky Jean Francois is okay.

Pep Hamilton needs to get off this power running game garbage in the first half. He doesn't have the O-Line/RB's to pull it off. I have all the confidence in the world the front office will address it in the offseason.

Finally,

2013 Draft....Abysmal.
