Many Colt fans feel like we are a flawed 8-4 team. It is very hard to disagree with that assessment.
Unlike the euphoria of last years stunning turn around, where we were happy to make the playoffs, there is a general feeling that this team won't go anywhere in the playoffs and that the season will be a disappointment. We shall see.
What I find most troubling is a fear that our young GM has fallen under the sway of our erratic owner. Irsay's seemingly insatiable desire and need to tweet to the world has to put pressure on Grigson as he is trying to manage the roster.
Exhibit A is our trade for Trent Richardson....see attached.
Instead of staying the course, being patient and taking what the market gives us we traded a #1 for an overrated RB...and now have only 2 picks in the first 4 rounds...with a lot of needs.
Have to think there is added pressure with your owner jumping up and down and shooting his mouth off.
Hope cooler heads prevail going forward and that Irsay gives Grigson the room to manage for the long term.
