Pat McAfee Probably Taking His Show on the Road

OK. So I'm sure none of you want to hear this but all signs point to this.

1.) He was franchised this year meaning the team wasn't ready to commit a long term deal.

2.) He's a Polian guy. In case you haven't noticed there aren't many guys left on the roster that Polian brought in.

3.) He hasn't performed well enough to warrant a long-term deal. 15th in Net Punting Yards and 12th in per punt avg.

4.) Last year Grigson used up a lot of cap space and you can bet he'll use it again this offseason(hopefully at O-line)

Unless a punter is consistently in the top 5 or maybe even 10 they usually don't get long-term deal. Don't be surprised if the Colts draft one in the second round or pick up an undrafted and try him out. If he can get similar yardage as McAfee did.

Now, if McAfee decides he'll take less money next season because he wants to stay and do his Pat McAfee show well he might be around. I would think about it if I were him because if he lands in a new city next year it's not likely he'll be a local celebrity like he is here.....unless they have a canal....

What do you guys think?
