If I was in the war room for the Colts I would try to trade with the Bills. The Buffalo Bills would be great dancing partners if they draft a WR with their 1st pick. If this happens it makes sense for both teams and the value of the Bills 2nd and 3rd round are very close to the Colts #24 pick. I want to highlight some of the benefits for both teams that this trade can bring.
The Colt
#1 This trade is fueled by our hate of "The Patriots"
#2 The Colts get more picks to fill out those positions that maybe too expensive in FA (OLB & Safety)
#3 Oh yeah we hate "The Patriots"
The Colts draft can look like:
2nd round: Safety
(Eric Reid, Matt Elam, Phillip Thomas, or Jonathan Cyprien) * From Bills
3rd round: CB
(Darius Slay, DJ Hayden or Logan Ryan)* From Bills
3rd round: WR
(Quinton Patton, Cobi Hamilton, or Da'rick Rodgers)
4th round: DE/Olb
(Corey Lemonier, Sean Porter, Brandon Jenkins, or Chase Thomas)
The Bills
#1 New Coach = New System which means he may want to bring in some of his guys
#2 Salary Cap drafting positions like WR and QB is cheaper than adding through FA
#3 A Potent offense, add the #1 WR and #1 QB plus Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, and Stevie Johnson should be exciting for fans.
#4 grabbing a QB before KC, Cleveland, Arizona or Oakland
#5 Ryan Fitzpatrick become expendable (more money in the future to spread around)
Bills can draft
Cordarrelle Patterson with #8 pick
Geno Smith/ Ryan Nassib #24 pick
I think this trade is a win win for both teams that i hope will add up for some loses for the Patriots
