The Kruger we aren't talking about

We all know about Paul Kruger, and most of us would like the Colts to target him when free agency begins. While Paul has received a lot of attention from us here on stampedeblue, there is another Kruger who will also be available this off season that hasn't been discussed much, if at all.

I was looking over the Combine results for the DL when I saw the last name Kruger. I followed the link and to my amazement I found that Joe Kruger is the younger brother of Paul. How did I not know about this guy sooner? Not only should I have known about him because of his relation to Paul, but also because NFL.com has him listed to be drafted in the top 100. Now I've been pretty obsessive this off season when it comes to the upcoming draft, especially so with the defensive prospects, but I had never run across "Joe Kruger" in all of my searches.

He is projected as a 34 DE, according to NFL.com, and he is absolutely huge. He is 6'7" and 280 pounds and after watching the little bit of video I could find on him, I think he's mostly a power guy. He certainly isn't slow, however, posting a 4.8 forty time. For his size that time is pretty good.

Just how ironic would it be if we ended up in 2013 with a Kruger on our defensive depth chart not named Paul. Even more so if we ended up with the pair of them (Paul playing OLB).

Below is the link to Joe Kruger's draft profile on the NFL site
