Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a six-year contract worth $120.6 million that makes Flacco the highest paid player in NFL history, a source familar with deal told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
This makes me smile because while Joe had an amazing playoff run, I don't think he is in the Rodgers/Manning/Brady/Brees group of elite QB's, nor do I think he ever will be. I don't know that the Ravens had much of a choice coming off the Super Bowl win, but I think this will cost the team and make it hard for them to win over the next several years. This helps the Colts because obviously the Ravens are AFC foes, but also they have some good players that we can take this year and over the next few years as they won't be able to re-sign everyone. Good for Joe on cashing in. But is it good for the Ravens?
