A story just broke that the Denver Broncos have had to release Dumervil because after an agreed pay cut to $8 million down from $12 million his agent failed to get the paperwork to the Broncos before the deadline and so they had to protect themselves and release him!
Apart from the obvious hilarity, thought I'd bring him up as a possible player for the Colts.
Wishful thinking maybe, he has been playing as a 4-3 DE for the past few years but he previously played his best season as 3-4 OLB (17 sacks).
Whatever you think of the FA moves so far we can all concur that we are still severely lacking in players with established pass rushing ability.
Maybe Dumervil wouldn't be an every down player but could certainly bring a more established presence that wouldn't allow defenses to hone in on Mathis.
Dumervil will most likely be too expensive for us now, but I thought still worth discussing.
