Since we arent getting a WR..... this is how I would draft

I want to take advantage of our HUGELY ugraded defense by ramping our ability to spread the field and put points on the board.

This is what I want to focus on in this draft.

Our defense has very few holes after we addressed several needs via free agency.

DE : Cory Redding - servicable

DE : RJF - strong (very strong imo)

NT : Franklin - strong

OLB: Mathis - star

OLB: Hughes or Walden - servicable

ILB: Angerer - servicable

ILB: Connor/Freeman - servicable

CB : Vontae Davis - IMO cabable of being a star

CB : Toler - Servicable plus

CB3: Darius Butler - servicable if shows any improvement

CB4: Cassius Vaughn - actually servicable at nickel

SS : Laron Landry - Star

FS : Antoine Bethea - Star

I like this defense. A few holes - nothing HUGE. A MaJOR upgrade over last years squad that made it to the playoffs.

My Mock Draft :

Round 1 : Justin Hunter, WR

Round 3 : Ryan Swope, WR

Round 4 : This is where I would take the best talent that matched a need. Some examples :

Jamie Collins, OLB, Southern Miss

Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford

Brandon Jenkins, DE/OLB, Florida State

Alvin Bailey, OT/G, Arkansas

David Quessenberry, C/G, San Jose State

Any of these could fall to us at round 4 and would be a tremendous value / need pick for us at #118.

Round 6 : Just like the round 4 pick. The best talend that matches a need.

Garrett Gilkey, G, Chadron State

Hugh Thornton, G, Illinois

Blaize Foltz, G, TCU

Malliciah Goodman, DE, Clemson

Zach Line, FB, SMU

Tyrann Mathieu, CB/S, LSU

Brandon McGee, CB, Miami

Johnny Adams, CB, Michigan State

Round 7 : Im not going to speculate on names here...but I would use these picks on low % high return type players. Those who have fallen from grace due to injury or other - yet has a tremendous upside.

I really like going WR WR this year. Similar to what we did last year at TE. We could have a super young offensive powerhouse NEXT YEAR !

I love Swope in the third round. The guy is a faster Jordy Nelson with TE power. Deceptively fast (runs in the 4.3s).
