Just heard that Dallas have placed the franchise tag on speculated Colts target Anthony Spencer. I am actually kinda pleased about this. After thinking about it, he would of asked for too much money when you take into account his age.

So, I hear you ask? What does this mean for potential pick ups in FA.

The route I would like us to take, and can see us taking, is ignore Kruger, too expensive. I can see the FO trying to pick up either Butler or Barwin. Both of them provide solid rush ability, and also are capable at stuffing the run. I can't see either of them costing outrageous money either. Both would fit into the 3-4 scheme and I believe both would love to play for a guy like Pagano.

I also see us using one of our first two picks on an OLB, who won't immediately jump into the starting lineup, but can be mentored by Mathis and Butler/Barwin to provide great rushing down that side for years to come. For me, this will be someone like Chase Thomas.
