First Take Debate: Manning VS Luck

Today First Take talked about Luck VS Manning matchup in Week 7. The question was how should the fans react to Peyton playing in the house that he built as a Bronco. Seemed like a good question, but then they prefaced it with: Did the Colt's make a mistake by cutting Manning. And this is where Skip Bayless' colors shine through. He was adamant that the Colt's made a HUGE mistake, this is a win NOW league and you have to maximize your chance to win THIS year. (I REALLY wish Stephen A Smith was on the show this morning to debate this topic, as Jemale offered no debate)
My problem with Skip's comments are that he literally said if you were the Colt's you have to keep Manning and hope it all works out in the end. Well to that I say look at all the franchises that did that, kept their star QB, and then couldn't find another for DECADES of mediocrity! My other issue with Skip is that he flat out declared that RGIII is better than Luck AND will have the better CAREER! Neither of which I think are accurate. If you put RGIII in Indy, they wouldn't have gone 11-5 last year. I'm not certain how Luck would have fared with Shanahan in Washington, but I think each team made the right choice. I think that Pep's No Coast Offense will make it crystal clear who the better QB is because dummies will be able to look at basic stats and see that #12 is superior. I also think that the Colt's organization will handle Luck better and surround him with a winning team. I fear that RGIII CAREER will be one that is plagued with injuries and be shorter because of his running talent. This second year will tell a lot for RGIII's career but I digress.
I wanted to get y'alls opinions on this topic.
Mine are that the Colt's made the right move. As painful as it was to watch 18 leave the city, and I really did shed a tear at that press conference. I think it was the right move as a FRANCHISE. I DO have a problem with the way Irsay handled it, I think he seemed like a hypocrite with his comments. However, I don't think he anticipated (for right or wrong reasons) that he would ever be put in the position where parting with #18 would ever be a viable option. I know we talked about this a LOT a year ago... but fast forward to now, and it seems like the Colt's made the right choice. They have a YOUNG franchise QB that looks a lot like #18. Their cap position is night and day better. They have a young up and coming team VS a bunch of veterans that are slightly overpaid and injured often. To me it seems like the Colt's 'Lucked' out! They had Peyton for one AMAZING and DOMINATING decade as Manning is the best 'regular season QB'. And now we have what I consider to be the best YOUNG QB on our team! Luck, Wilson, and RGIII are all supremely talented, however I believe Luck was correctly drafted at #1!
SO! What are your thoughts? Should we have kept #18 and hoped for a good QB at pick 20 to 30 something the year after he retires? Should we have kept both and sat Luck? OR should we have gone with a different QB than the one that is currently under center from last years draft... Just interested in seeing some thoughts on this!
OH, and how should we treat Manning when he comes into OUR town in week 7? I think I will applaud him before and after the game.. But during the game, he is ultimately the opposition and stands between MY TEAM and W on the record!
and of course...

GO COLTS!!!
