Its almost draft time

I no longer am pushing for us to take (2) top tier WR's in the first 3 rounds of this draft..... Bringing in Heyward Bey fills the hole for (1) of these. However, I still feel that getting one of the top 5 WRs in this draft is a must.

After watching the FA moves transpire and looking over the hundreds of mock drafts here at SB Nation.... I have come to the conclusion of what I feel is the best move for the Colts.

Here is what I would do with the first 4 picks of our draft.

Trade down our first round pick for a second round and third round pick. If we have to give up a 6th or 7th rounder to make this work. That is fine.

Round 2

With our second round pick take one of the following players (in order):

Justin Hunter, WR

Robert Woods, WR

I would pick Hunter personally (as our version of Julio / Green - vertical speed with hops and height) but would be happy with either of these players from the second round. One of them would likely be there mid round. Whichever is left should be Lucks new weapon to play with and grow together for the next decade.

Round 3

We would have (2) picks here. I think this is where we take the overall BPA on both selections with the hope that we can find a solid pass rush linebacker with one of the selections.

Chase Thomas, OLB

DeAndre Hopkins, WR

Tevardo Williams, OLB

Barrett Jones, OG

Cornelius Washington, DE

I think (2) of these players will be here. I wouldnt take (2) WRs in this years draft (UNLESS) Hopkins fell to the mid third round. I would take the crap slinger that deep into the draft. The guy is WAY to talented to pass him up. Wayne could teach Hunter and Hopkins this year - and we could draft the best WR tandem in the league looking out over the next 5-7 years. He wont be there....but if he is...I say take him.

The rest of the guys are all super talented and would help our team immediately.

Round 4

Again....looking BPA....and filling the holes not selected in round 2 or 3.

Ty Powell, OLB / DE

Shawn Willams, S

Travis Frederick, OG

Alvin Bailey, OG

JC Tretter, OG

David Quessenberry, OG

Jonathon Banks, CB (tall)

BW Webb, CB (Return)

There is a ton of Guard potential in the 4th round. Lots of upgrades to our RG spot can be had here imo.

Banks is a tall CB that I am interested in as well. Almost all these guys will likely be around in round 4.
