I know everyone always likes to play the “if everything goes right the colts will…” game, so I decided to play and see how good the colts could be if everything that could realistically happen, happens. Before you read this, in the draft I’m hoping Cooper or Warmack falls to the colts. First off, lets start with the QB.

Andrew Luck-He’s now in his college offense that he fits perfectly in. If there is any flaw in Luck’s game it’s his downfield accuracy and although he has a pretty good arm it’s not at cutler, Stafford, or Rodgers level, so I have no idea why Arians used an offense that focused on that last year. But that’s a story for another day. Anyway, his best attributes are his brain, is his accuracy on short to intermediate passes , and his ability to throw on the run which will all be utilized in the new offense. So ,realistically the best case scenario is that he becomes the 5th best QB after

Rodgers, manning, brees, brady, and maybe Big Ben(incredibly underrated).

Vick ballard-He becomes an above average running back now that he finally has an offensive line that isn’t porous. He doesn’t need to be the focal point of the offense, but he could easily become a 1000 yard rusher who has a 4.4 per carry. On a side note, how crazy is it that AP and CJ spiller averaged 6 YARDS PER CARRY.

WRs-The colts get a very good receiver with their 3rd round pick to play opposite Wayne. WR is pretty deep in this class so the colts could easily get a solid #2 in the 3rd round. Also, Ty works on his hands and DHB thrives with a new offense/organization/QB. Combined with Luck’s improvement this could be a deadly combo.

TE-Fleener thrives in his college offense and turns into what we all hoped. Honestly if he wasn’t injured he would have ended with an above average rookie season. Allen superior blocking continues to improve and does wonders with the power running game. Also, Allen continues to grow into one of the best All around Tight Ends in the NFL.

Offensive Line-Warmack or cooper falls to the colts. Shipley beats out satelel. With better guard play Castonzo starts to become an elite Tackle. Cherillus plays like last year and Donald Thomas plays like he did when he was a starter. The unit gels in the first year and the colts have a top 15 Offensive line.

Onto the defense…

Secondary-Toler stays healthy and proves what a talent he really is. Vontae becomes an elite corner in the NFL. Landry shows his pro-bowl year wasn’t a joke and he shows how well his runstopping will work in the colts new offensive system. Butler proves he wasn’t a one year wonder and the colts get a corner in the 6th round who will take vaughns spot.

Linebackers-Mathis has another solid season. Jerell freeman also proves he wasn’t a one year wonder. Angerer returns from injury and proves he isn’t too short to play in the 3-4. Jerry hughes has a breakout year as a pass rushing specialist. Walden sets the edge well, works well in the system, and shows why the colts spent so much money on a player with a -25 PFF rating. The colts draft an OLB in the fourth round who is a good backup and shows potential to take mathis’s spot.

D-line- Chapman becomes a “fire hydrant” and plays like the first-second round talent he was before injury. RJF has a breakout year. Franklin continues to be a very solid DT. Mckinney comes back and also plays like the very solid DT he is…I feel like I’m forgetting someone.

I really don’t want to say this, knock on wood, but the colts look like they could be SB contenders…Don’t call me crazy!
