This site allows us fans to voice our opinions on all topics related to the Colts. In fact, it is the greatest site to do so. All opinions welcomed. With that said, opinions of our opinions are welcome as well. In my opinion, a small handful of the fans have been overly critical of this year's draft selections. Yes, in my opinion we as fans should be skeptical and sometimes critical of certain draft picks. However, making obsurd statements such as "I'm loosing faith in Grigson" and "Grigson is struggling in this draft" is non sense to say the least. At each draft position, there are hundreds of available players for that pick. There is no way in hell that everyone can agree for certain that in round 3 and beyond that is certain player is the BPA. To call out Grigson saying "he blew it" after drafting a guy like Hugh Thornton is ridiculous, and actually makes you look foolish. Thornton should be an instant upgrade at the position and should start almost immediately. Not bad, in my opinion, for a late 3rd rounder. Most of the players some wanted in round 3 were skipped over again and again in rounds 4 and 5 by not only the Colts, but every other NFL team. Believe it or not, Grigson's Big Board differs from Mel Kiper's Big Board of top prospects available. Or, as one fan referenced repeatedly, NFL.com prospect rankings. If those ranking were all so accurate, why would any team pay a GM and numerous scouts...Mel Kiper, NFL analysts and arm chair GMs are doing the work for them! Ultimately, I personally value Grigson's opinion much more than yours.
