I don't understand why there is so much talk about Vick Ballard not being an every-down back or that we need to draft another RB. I would contend he was out best looking rookie last year with the exception of #12. If you discount the first five games that he didn't start, and then extrapolate the remaining numbers out to a full year, he would have been our first 1000-yard rusher since 2007, and would have averaged over 4 yards/carry. He was also healthy all year, which we haven't seen from a RB in a long time. All this from a guy that was probably third on the depth chart at the beginning of the year so didn't get any first team practice reps, was a 5th round draft pick, and ran behind what was widely considered a terrible offensive line. The same improved offensive line that will make Andrew Luck look so much better next year will also make Vick look so much better. I think if the offensive line is as improved as we hope, we will see the best rushing year by a Colt since Edge in 2005. Thoughts?
