DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson
Hopkins is my #1 WR in the draft. He isn't really a need now, but future replacement for Reggie Wayne.
6'1 214 lbs 4.51 40
ACC-best 1,405 yards on 82 catches and a school-record 18 touchdowns (second in the nation), earning First Team All-Conference honors
>- Johnathan Cooper OG NC
Will either not fall to the Colts or be the best guard available.
6'2 311 lbs 5.06 40First-team All-American and All-ACC teams, as well as winning the ACC Jacobs Blocking Trophy. Very durable, athletic, and strong (35 reps on the bench press)
Other possibilities are a falling Alec Ogeltree, or Barkevious Mingo if they fall.ROUND 3
- Sean Porter OLB Texas A&M
Ideally a big impact pass rush guy would fall to them in the first but I don't see that happening, and as they don't have a second round pick, they will miss most of these guys. Enter Sean Porter here.
6'1 229 lbs 4.69 40Led the Big 12 in sacks with 9.5 as a junior and had 17 tackles for a loss. Was used mostly in coverage his senior year while pass rushing duties were given to DaMontre Moore. Still had 3.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for a loss.
- Shamarko Thomas S Syracuse
I don't think Landry is long term, the Colts worked out Thomas.
5'9 213 lbs 4.37 40Thomas led Syracuse with 88 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. Also played linebacker and cornerback. High character. A more durable Bob Sanders. ROUND 4
- Cornelius Washington DE/OLB Georgia
Pass rush. Not sure Washington will fall this far though.
6'4 265lbs 4.53 40Probably misused in Georgia, mostly occupied blocks as a down lineman for Georgia's pass rushers.
- Cobi Hamilton WR Arkansas
Hamilton provides WR depth assuming they don't take Hopkins, and could be a future #1.
6'1 212 lbs 4.50 40Hamilton had his best season as a senior this past year with a SEC-best 90 receptions for 1,335 yards and 5 touchdowns, earning First Team All-SEC honors. Also holds SEC record 303 rec yds in a game. ROUND 6
- P.J Lonergan C LSU
Offensive line help at the center position who could be an upgrade over Satele.
6'3 304 lbs 5.37 40Won the starting position as a redshirt freshman. Very durable, decent center.
- Travis Johnson OLB/DE San Jose State
Another pass rush option in Johnson.
6'2 240 lbs 4.88 40All time sack leader at San Jose St. and current career sack record holder in the WAC conference. Finished 2012 with 13 sacks and 21.5 tackles for a loss. ROUND 7
- Daimion Stafford S Nebraska
A different safety option if Thomas isn't taken, also because Landry isn't long term and injury prone.
6'0 221 lbs 4.65 40Third in team tackles in 2012, also had 2.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, and a team high 10 passes broken up. ROUND 7 pick 2
- Dustin Hopkins K
Replacement for Vinateri who is declining and getting expensive./>
