The NFL Draft is less than three weeks away. Since early March, I've been running around chasing free agent rumors and news while Matt has been pumping out college scouting reports. Writers like Josh, Evan, and Stew have picked up the slack when they could. All-in-all, we've been pumping out more content than [insert random porn actor name here] pumps out [insert random bodily function here].
However, what we haven't done is organize a community mock draft.
Now, like some of you, I too can get a bit annoyed with all these damn mocks. However, overall I think they are great, and mock draft DO help inform fans of the players that may or may not get drafted. More importantly, mocks are fun community projects that bring a sense of togetherness.
Other things that rally the community:
- Insulting me and my opinions
- Making fun of my Polian obsession
- Game of Thrones references
- Vegan cooking recipes
OK, the last one was totally made up. If you do have some vegan cooking recipes, let me know! I'm one of those communist, tree-hugging, Satan-worshiping vegetarians. Gimme some grilled veggies and tofu, and I am a happy man!
Anyway, the community mock. Please use the comments below to let us know if you want to participate. Tell us the team you'd like to select for as well. We're thinking of doing a three-round mock in one day on Saturday, April 13th.
Sorry, but the Colts pick will go to a Stampede Blue writer not named Brad Wells.
We will also bring back our podcast, interviewing guests about Colts draft prospects and how they think the 2013 NFL Draft will shake out.
If you have some other ideas for events you'd like to share with the group, post them below. As always, thanks for reading and for being Colts fans.
