was the Bengals
starting middle linebacker last season and actually got a fair amount off tackles hmm lets say 100 oh wait no he got 127 which is pretty good for a rookie I guess let alone an undrafted rookie. I guess the Bengals saw a player with a lot of talent and took a risk on him knowing he had a few character issues. That risk paid off and now the Bengals have a starting MLB that is cheap young and vitally he is good very good. At the end of the day many players like Burfict do not turn out and teams look silly for even giving them a chance. But also there are a lot of capable starters that were not drafted and subsequently signed as free agents. Has anyone heard of a guy called tony room? The reason i'm writing about UDFA'S is because I think the colts should follow the path of the Bengals and take a flier on a few guys and by a few I mean every guy they would hand a 4th round grade or better too if character wasn't an issue. And if they do that I am willing to bet that they will find at least 1 starter and a few contributors just like the Bengals did. I believe that the colts have a wonderful staff that will be able to sort out a lot of issues a lot of these guys have had a la Marquees Wilson the wide receiver from Washington state. Wilson had trouble with coaches last season and his 1st round talent did not see the field that much at all. However with 1st round talent he is able to do a few things I guess we could see if he can do them for the colts. Hell if he can the colts have a talented wideout that they really need without having to give up any picks. There are a lot of other guys like Wilson that have the talent but just have a few character/injury/size issues that will force them to go undrafted. Now I can understand teams not wanting to waste a pick on these types of players but what are you wasting on an UDFA besides a it of money?
So come on colts nation lets sign some High reward LOW RISK UDFA'S
