The Colts rookie minicamp begins today, and for the 2013 draft class, this is their first experience working with NFL coaches, practicing in NFL facilities, and putting on an NFL uniform. It's a pretty cool event, and it's fun to see young guys get their first taste of the NFL life.
For six of the seven rookies that the Colts selected in the draft this year, they will also enter camp with signed contracts.
On Thursday, the Colts officially signed 4th round pick Khaled Holmes and 5th round selection Montori Hughes. The team also signed 3rd round pick Hugh Thornton, 6th round pick John Boyett, and 7th round picks Kerwynn Williams and Justice Cunningham after initially agreeing to terms on deals.
The only rookie who was drafted that will enter this weekend's minicamp without a deal is first round pick Bjoern Werner, who was selected No. 24 overall.
All these signings mark the first time the Colts have entered rookie minicamp with so many first year players under contract.
