With all this Ahmad Bradshaw talk, I've gotten exited and have been watching his performances from the last season (when he wasn't injured), and I know he'll look great with a horseshoe on his head! That said, I was wondering if he ends up signing with the Colts, would keep his number 44? 44 we all know of course to be the great Dallas Clark's old number! Could this be one of the things Bradshaw is looking for in his new contract? I doubt it. But how would fans react to seeing a new 44 on the field so soon?
Personally, I would rather Bradshaw take another number. Dallas Clark was my favorite player on the offense, besides Manning of course, in that era. My first Jersey was none other than #44 (I also got Dallas to sign it at camp, that was awesome)! He meant so much for this organization off the field as well, and was a great guy. I really hope they retire his number someday and add him to the Ring of Honor. I don't know how long we'd have Bradshaw, or if there would be any chance he retires a Colt (doubt it, 2 rings in NY), but I don't think you can just take Dallas' number.
What do you think?
