Aside from Peyton there is no one else IMHO who was more important to this "Indy Edition" Colts Franchise than Marvin Harrison #88. No one else was more money than "Marvelous Marvin" at his peak which lasted a long time.
Pundits accused him of coming up small during the playoffs but he had as much to do with this teams juggernaut offense and the sleepless nights our opponents had as Peyton did.
So i was a little surprised to see Mr. Irrelevant wearing number 88 on the front page of the online edition of the Indy Star. Does anyone know if those practice jersey numbers stay with you ?
When its all said and done Reggie Wayne may nudge Marvin from the number 2 spot but you would think that management or the equipment staff would know better. And then again its a slow sports news day & maybe i'm making a big deal out of nothing. But I don't think Marvin and his wide receiver ego would appreciate his jersey number being attached to Mr. Irrelevant.
