Colin Cowherd bets on the Colts this year.

On his ESPN radio show this morning, Colin Cowherd was talking about how he went to Las Vegas on his vacation and his producer asked him if he made any bets while he was down there. He said he only made one bet, $100 on the Colts to win the AFC this year. He got 20-1 odds on it and said he had to take it. He went into some detail on why he feels they could win it this year.

“I did place one bet in Vegas. Vince just asked me that over my headset. Yes, I bet $100 on the Indianapolis Colts to win the AFC. I did, I got 20-1 odds. I got 20-1 odds. At a hundred dollars, that’s, uh, excuse me, that’s 2,000 clams there, coming my way. First of all, the AFC is way down and outside of Denver—we all acknowledge Denver has the best personnel in the AFC—alright, would it be outrageous? Folks, they went from 2 wins to 11 with Andrew Luck. They just got Ahmad Bradshaw, they had a second draft of very important pieces, and they have, to me, the best young quarterback I’ve ever seen play. Ever in my life, including John Elway. Andrew Luck’s the best college quarterback I ever saw live, saw him twice, or on TV, I saw him 15 times.

Listen, NFC? They’re not making the NFC Championship, they’re not. AFC? Outside of Denver, playing in Denver, who couldn’t they beat? Facing Peyton in Denver wouldn’t be easy. Boy, that would be good, I’d take that right now. If that was the AFC Championship game, Peyton against the Colts, I’d take that right now.”
