Jaworski ranks Luck #10

Just got finished watching Ron Jaworksi's QB ranking of Andrew Luck. Pretty cool, and I think pretty accurate. Luck finished tops among the "young" QBs ahead on Cam Newton, Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick (in that order). Two of the touchdowns that he analyzed were the week 2 TD to Reggie Wayne against the Minnesota Vikings seen here...

The other TD that he analyzed was this one to Lavon Brazill versus the Detroit Lions in week 13...

In the latter clip, what Jaws talks about is Luck's awareness and accuracy, but for me the most amazing thing about that play was his arm strength. That ball travels 50 yards in the air, sure, no real big deal for NFL QBs, but look at two very important things - his feet (not planted at all) and his body angle. To make a 50 yard throw, without your legs that accurately and from that angle is simply astonishing to me.

In conclusion, Jaws' take on Luck was that he has all the tools - awareness, vision, IQ, arm strength, mobility, leadership and poise. He fully expects him to climb his rankings after this season.
