Pagano told Mike Chappell of the Indy Star that Hugh Thornton will start practicing this week. This is obviously good news.
He has missed to much camp to start at the beginning of the season. But it could be possible he could suplant Mcglyn by week 5 or 6 I think. Even if he doesnt get a starting job this season it is good to see some of this draft class finally get healthy. We really cant afford our rookie class to keep missing extended periods of time. Hugh will be the future at one of the gaurd positions. He needs to start getting reps, hopefully hes smart enough to take some game reps by Saturday although i think thats a stretch.
Chappell and George Bremer also said it isnt a surprise Kalid Holmes isnt back yet. Thornton was injured one week before Holmes with the same injury. This suggests Holmes might need another week and could be back next week.
