Ive been on stampede for awhile, but this is however my first fanpost. So please dont rip me apart. I'm really not a ignorant fan or anything... I actually am a die hard colts fan.
As week 3 of preseason is headed our way, I'm sure everyone including myself is excited for the season to finally start. This list will be far from perfect, and will most likely be changing a lot as our first roster cut is in a few days. After watching most of training camp and the first 2 preseason games, this is my 53 man roster prediction.
QB- Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck
FB- Stanley Havili
WR- Reggie Wayne, Darrius Heyward-Bay, T.Y Hilton, Griff Whalen, LaVon Brazil, David Reed
C- Samson Satele, Khaled Holmes
NT- Aubrayo Franklin, Josh Chapman
SLB- Eric Walden, Lawrence Sidbury
SS- Antoine Bethea, Joe Lefeged
FS- LaRon Laundry, Delano Howell
K- Adam Vinatieri
P- Pat McAfee
LS- Matt Overton
I have the newest Colts WR David Reed making the team as our 5th WR/KR. At OLB, I have the 6'7 monster Caesar Rayford making the team as our final linebacker. Rayford has really looked solid throughout training camp and has showed that he is capable of pass rushing. With 3 sacks and 1 fumble in his first 2 preseason games, he is arguably our defensive MVP. With our CB position, the final spot IMO goes to Marshay Green. Throughout training camp he has showed strong coverage skills and good tackling ability. This spot could very easily go to a few other players (Sheldon Price, Allan Chapman, Teddy Williams) as preseason goes on. Another roster spot that could change is at safety. I think eventually our 6th round draft pick John Boyett will get the nod, but he has been fighting injuries. Until then, it will be fought between Delano Howell, who is probably most deserving, Sergio Brown, Ashante Williams, Daxton Swanson, and Larry Asante.
