ESPN has two new articles on Indianapolis out today, one via it's subsidiary Grantland. Yahoo! has a third.
Indianapolis' coach Chuck Pagano is looking very Chuck Strong.
Grantland attempts to answer the question many of us here at Stampede Blue have debated and prodded following all of the additions this offseason: What will the Colts do for an encore?
The author provides statistics that seem to show it will be difficult based on last year's roster, but goes on to say that because of the improvements made to the roster they aren't pegged for regression.
My personal opinion on the matter: I agree, the Colts won't win 9 games by one score or less - only because they will take care of business and beat inferior opponents by more than 7 at least four or five times. Point differential doesn't hold as much weight with me, considering our 35-point loss to NE skews the numbers greatly.
Also, if we can just keep Luck upright, he's going to be scary good this season. A top-5 MVP finish is certainly possible. I don't agree with his verdict of 8-8, but it will be great to see Indy prove the doubters wrong once again this year!
