Greetings Colts fans! This thread is for you to ask any questions you may have about our team, season, or franchise in general. Have fun!
How I expect us to go about attacking you
Statistically, your run defense is not great. Our run game has heated up in the past few weeks thanks to a three-headed attack from Ridley, Blount and Vereen, each of which has different strengths and weaknesses. Look for us to try to run early and often, and likely succeed.
On defense, our backfield is the best it has been in years. Talib is an elite, top-10 CB. Dennard and Logan Ryan could probably both be #1 CBs on certain teams. Devin McCourty is statistically one of the best safeties in the league, and Kyle Arrington is generally decent when in the slot. Despite missing Wilfork, our interior line has gotten a boost from the play of Sealver Siliga and outside rusher Chandler Jones had 11 sacks on the season.
How you should go about attacking us
As our pass defense is the best it has been in years, our pass offense might be the worst. Outside of Julian Edelman, nobody on the team has shown the ability to consistently produce. Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson or Danny Amendola could all have a big game, but none of them are the type that can be counted on.
By far the biggest weakness on defense is the linebackers. Two of our three starting LBs are out for the season with injury. The third, Donta' Hightower, is often put into a coverage roll that limits his size advantage and allows other teams to exploit his lack of speed. TEs, speedy RBs, and mobile QBs have burned us all year.
