Interesting takeaway from Comp. Picks

The rich get richer. The Colts receive zero compensatory draft selections in the 2014 draft, since their FA signings outweighed their losses. The most notable team receiving picks is Baltimore, as they get two 4th rounders and two 5th rounders. Granted, these picks come at the end of each respective round, but that's four inexpensive players coming in the mid rounds that could be under team control for four years.

Looking ahead to 2015, and keeping Andrew Luck's coming payday in mind (as well as several of his teammates), I hope this is how things work out for the Colts in their handling of free agency. Ozzy in Baltimore had to deal with one crappy season after paying Flacco and letting go of so many vets. We could do without the one crappy season, though.
